Remakes are the order of the afternoon, and with the total amount of money riding on these movies, it’d only seem sensible for the audience to want some of the most memorable movies changed to a new one by any of the grittier and more intense directors around today. We go through the three movies that will make for interesting Bollywood remakes today.
Khuda Gawah
The epic Bollywood movie to get rid of all epics, Khuda Gawah was a video in front of its time, and unfortunately the audience couldn’t appreciate the movie Box Office India.Starring Amitabh Bachchan as a passionate and self-explanatory Pathan who achieves his love, and then gives it up for an offer to a police man, the movie has Nagarjuna, Shilpa Shirodkar, Kiran Kumar, Danny Dengzonpa and Vikram Gokhale playing some of the most stellar characters of modern times. This is among the first and only movies to be shot in Afghanistan, and did complete justice to the beauty that the area needs to offer.
Khuda Gawah is famous not only for the direction, but also the art direction and action sequences. The high octane climax is something that has been rarely noticed in Bollywood movies. In fact, the whole movie is peppered with what can be viewed to be epic sequences. Danny Dengzonpa also played a vocation best role as the trusty Pathan’s aide.
Gambler
If you thought that a flawed protagonist was something that has come recently to Bollywood, think again. Gambler stars Govinda as a police officer who finds out he suffering from a deathly disease, and has a few days to live. The authorities officer is currently troubled about how exactly his family is likely to make their ends meet after he dies, but finds out one day that if he dies on duty, his family is likely to make more money. He now features a deathwish, to die on duty, and as a result of this, the corrupt and cowardly cop pits himself against some of the biggest goons in the city.
Needless to say, because it absolutely was a nineties movie, it is found out that there clearly was one in the medical tests, and therefore he is hale and hearty, but that can definitely be twisted a little to increase the dark and ironic movies that are making their presence felt in Bollywood today.
Appu Raja
Appu Raja isn’t strictly a Bollywood movie, as it is really a South side movie created by the Maestro Kamal Haasan, but it’s one that can be remade in just a blink. Appu Raja tells the story of twins, whose father is killed by evil goons, and mother is given poisoned. Among the boys is born with a deformity, which makes him great for the circus, while another becomes a roadside Romeo. The deformed man finds out about his father’s killers, and decides to kill them all one by one. While the style is interesting, even the means of killing that Appu chooses are a marvel. This script and screenplay is definitely something that is worth the graphics and technology that can be obtained today.
