The sweetness and simplicity of A Course in Miracles (ACIM) really shines through among its major principles: The Law of Cause and Effect. That is different from the Law of Attraction, an interest where so much has been discussing these last few years. ACIM answers not only why things are the direction they are with your head, but also just how to implement these mind corrections needed to improve your life. What it ultimately comes down to is the choice to improve beliefs while staying in this world, or the choice to correct your head and return home.
Affirmations are not section of A Course in Miracles because they are not necessary and here’s why: There is a “wrong” ego mind, and a “right” ego mind course in miracles, both that are still the main same ego side of the split mind. Within the ego mind (error), the incorrect side is most of the negative judgments; and the right side is most of the negative judgments trying to convince you how wonderful it is to call home within this negative world. Neither is the reality of one’s nature nor where you are trying to come back your mind, based on ACIM.
The Law of Cause and Effect is this: In line with the mind you use as cause, you will see the corresponding effect. Ideas don’t leave their source: You.
Let’s utilize this example:
Someone is feeling the consequences to be “poor,” or lack, in this world and wants to improve their beliefs to will have “rich” (abundance, prosperity, money) show up. Both “poor” and “rich” are judgments of the ego utilizing it as cause that may only produce ego effect. Ego becoming an unstable thought system, that which you choose as “rich” will ultimately go and you get back with “poor.” It’s just a question of “when.”
The ego’s choice system is: (1) one or another: (2) poor or rich; and, (3) ego or God. It asks you to select between a few things within the ego illusion and not to select out of the illusion.
That is in contrast to choosing correction of your head (forgiveness) where both “poor” and “rich” don’t exist. A choice for correction of your head allows the Holy Spirit Right Mind to be your cause which affects the you in this world; however, it doesn’t have the consequences you imagine since the ego cannot relate. It returns a part of your head to peace and ends senseless worry over rich and poor. Additionally it produces effects in your life here however you will have to select correction to see them.
Let’s look at how ACIM breaks this all down into a straightforward group of principles based on Cause and Effect. It only includes a few components and when understood and used, they may be “mind” correcting!
The Metaphysics:
Remember, based on ACIM, your head is split by the ego’s judgment that we could possibly be separate, also referred to as the “tiny mad idea,” or the error that never occurred. This part of your head is merely hidden in darkness since it banished itself from Knowledge (Heaven and Oneness) whenever we forgot to laugh off what could not be true. It didn’t, however, separate.
So in ACIM it is not about affirmations or changing beliefs, because your head never left God and still resides acquainted with Him. There are no “belief” judgments in Love, Oneness, Heaven and Knowledge as everything is the same, all one, and nothing to think or judge between.
Instead, it is focused on changing your internal Teacher or rather, who you’re playing for interpretation of events in this world. The only change is in the choice between the split mind (error) of the ego or the Holy Spirit Right Mind (correction) as that internal Teacher.
That is where the simplicity is evident in ACIM because there’s no convincing the ego wrong and right mind of another way of thinking. You just give up what so long as want. We do it all the time with ego stuff; and now we just do it with the ego beliefs themselves.
Forgiveness:
This says all of it: Forgiveness is correction of the mind. In ACIM, there is nothing to forgive because no error has happened, i.e., no separation happened. That which you are doing is merely returning your mind to God, where it never left, and to its natural state of peace. To do that is merely an option that side of the split mind to be controlled by for interpretation of events and turning on the judgments so long as desire to the Holy Spirit Right Mind for correction (forgiveness).
The Holy Spirit is the solution to the separation put into your head by God and every answer will there be looking forward to you. Atonement, forgiveness, salvation and True Perception are other words which can be synonymous. You need to be prepared to utilize the Holy Spirit Right Mind for interpretation of events and do the actual work of giving judgments (beliefs) to this side of your head, via your choice maker, because so long as want them.
It really is that simple and only confusing because of the belief that the only real choice is between ego judgments of “poor” and “rich,” to make use of the sooner example, and not understanding relating to this third option being available. The choice for True Perception is to select neither ego judgment and relinquish both for correction of the mind. This is what is takes to come back your head to God.
Decision Maker:

It is neutral, an observer and is something you’ve to employ to view your head and the judgments being produced by the ego. Once you realize you’ve used something from the ego error of the incorrect or right mind, you need to be prepared to hand them to the solution, or the correction, of the Holy Spirit Right Mind. It manages the others since the Atonement or solution is already there. No affirmations are necessary. You are simply giving up whatever so long as want. It is, and certainly can, be that easy.
Form and Content:
The past component to understand from A Course in Miracles is form and content. Form is this world and everything in it. In ACIM, form doesn’t matter and is the main “beliefs” to be turned over. However, you use everything in form, combined with judgments in your mind, since the curriculum of what to turn over for correction (forgiveness).
What does matter is content and in ACIM, content is the mind. The mind you are using for interpretation (perception) of individuals, places, and things, etc., counts for everything. You are able to only have one master: (1) the Holy Spirit Right Mind (correction); or, (2) the ego wrong mind (error) and which includes both interpretations of the ego mind.
To conclude, think about the simplicity of ACIM which really is a Course in training your mind just how to perceive properly. You must return your head to peace since the Kingdom of God is peace and you can’t see the doorway from judgment. You only see peace in peace and while sharing peace with everyone.
All ACIM says is you’ve the willingness to learn how to do this, study the ideas and then put it into practice. The help you need will arrive; however you, my friend, must do the job of the inward journey back in the mind.
The Law of Cause and Effect is the form, or mind, you’re using for interpretation will undoubtedly be your effect in this world. It’ll affect you in alternative methods by returning your mind back once again to back to peace where you eventually see the illusion of choice, because no separation occurred, and choose to give it up once and for all.
